Artist Bio

Graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Illustration and Design, I spent a number of years as a free-lance illustrator and working in advertising and PR in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Personal interests led me to get involved in the food world, apprenticing in a 2-star French restaurant in Brittany and eventually working with Artisan Cheesemakers in the US and UK.

In the Summer of 2006 I was able to return to painting full time and have combined my love of great food, cheese, wine and travel. The painting medium is acrylic, my paintings are done in a representational, illustrative style. The subjects are most often food and travel related. Most recently, I have been exploring the manipulation of landscapes, presenting several viewpoints on the same canvas.

In 2007 and 2008 I have been accepted into a number of juried shows and won a number of First Place and Best of Show awards for my work. I am currently a member of the Pacific Art League.

Many of my paintings, including commission work, are in private collections throughout California.
